Peptide Synthesis
The Peptide Laboratory employs techniques of solid and solution phase chemistry with automated or manual peptide synthesis based on FMOC chemistry on a 0.05 to 0.40 miliomolar scale.
The peptides are purified by preparative RP-HPLC up to >98% and liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry used as quality control. The lab has experience with peptides containing phosphorylated, sulfated, guadinylated, biotinylated as well as otherwise labeled and modified amino acids, disulfide rich peptides, native and chemical ligation techniques.
Around 50 peptides per year are synthesized as a service to ICGEB researchers, consistently meeting the highest standards of quality and technical expertise.
All peptides are delivered with detailed quality control documentation including an RP-HPLC trace, mass spectrometry, and in same cases, amino acid analysis.
