ICGEB Fellowships provide multidisciplinary training in biotechnology through competitive PhD, Postdoctoral, and Mobility Fellowships in the Life Sciences for highly motivated scientists who wish to pursue research in a world-class scientific environment. Impact of the Fellowships Programme

The Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Fellowship Programmes offer high-profile, multidisciplinary training and cover a range of topics in genetic engineering and biotechnology. The PhD Fellowship provides graduate students with the means to understand a scientific investigation in the field of Life Sciences, develop independent thought and critical view, personal responsibility, and decision-making skills. Postdoctoral fellows are trained for an average of two years, during which they actively participate in research projects of the ICGEB laboratories for promising young scientists who are nationals of ICGEB Member States.

ICGEB is committed to attaining and promoting gender equality in all its activities, and this is exemplified in the Fellowship Programme.

SMART Fellowships are awarded to promote South-South mobility of researchers.
