The Centre offers many opportunities for vendors to provide goods and services for its Headquarters in Trieste (Italy) and its two Components in Cape Town (South Africa) and New Delhi (India).
Responsibility for procurement is decentralized and the local Procurement Unit will enter into contracts with vendors autonomously from the Headquarters complying with relevant guidelines, and ensuring that procurement risks are properly assessed and mitigated.
Frequently procured goods and services include but are not limited to laboratory consumables and equipment, laboratory and office furniture, office accessories and supplies, IT equipment, computer software, licensing and maintenance, building maintenance and renovation as well as facility management services.
The selection process for contractors is governed by ICGEB Rules and Regulations, as well as by the principles of economy, effectiveness, competition and transparency.
