Martín Bonamino is a researcher at the Brazilian National Cancer Institute, where he leads a research group focused in describing the immune system-tumor interplay and in designing better tools to promote an efficient immune response to tumors. These efforts include analyzing tumor environments and immune responses by bio- immunoinformatics tools and gene modifying lymphocytes to better eliminate tumor cells. Martín also has an appointment at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, where he coordinates the institutional network for cancer studies (Fiocâncer)
