This workshop explores the cutting-edge design, production, and applications of fusion proteins in biotechnology. Participants will gain insights into the principles of protein engineering, strategies for constructing functional hybrid proteins, and their diverse uses in therapeutics, diagnostics, and industrial processes.

Topics

Fusion protein design principles; Bioinformatics tools in fusion protein design and prediction; Cloning, expression, and purification strategies; Therapeutics, biosensors, and enzyme engineering applications; Case studies, challenges & optimization hurdles.

Participants

This workshop is ideal for researchers, biotechnologists, and industry professionals seeking to harness the potential of engineered proteins. Pipeting and lab safety knowledge, familiarity with basic molecular biology. Participant must be involved in teaching / research that can be benefit from access to protein expression & purification techniques, and submit a current project or ideas for a poster session.

Non-sponsored participants will need to pay a registration fee of 50€. The registration fee will cover the attendance, materials and hospitality, but excludes travel/accomodation).

Funding

A limited number of grants covering registration fee, hospitality and accommodation in twin bedroom will be provided to selected participants who are ICGEB Member states nationals, residing outside of Syria.
