Fluorescence Microscopy (FMCF)
The Fluorescence Microscopy Core Facility (FMCF) at the ICGEB Trieste Component offers a collection of state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy equipment and accessory services to support in-house scientists and visitors in the use of fluorescence microscopy methods for their research. Currently, the facility offers:
(i) two upright fluorescence microscopy settings, one equipped with Leica DMLB upright microscope, Coolsnap CF CCD camera and MetaView 4.6 quantitative analysis software;
(ii) one Zeiss LSM510 confocal microscope equipped with: Axiovert 100M reverse microscope, Ar 488, 514 nm and HeNe 543 nm lasers, LSM510 software 3.2 release, 10X, 40X, 63X, 100X objectives;
(iii) one Zeiss LSM510 META equipped with: Axiovert 200M reverse microscope, Ar 458, 477, 488, 514 nm, HeNe 543 nm and HeNe 633 nm lasers. LSM510 software 3.2 release, 10X, 20X, 40X, 63X objectives and META detection module for emission spectra analysis and spectral unmixing;
(iv) one Leica Laser Microdissector LMD equipped with UV lamp, UV laser, 3CCD camera, Leica IM 1000 software and 6.3X, 10X, 20X, 40X, 63X objectives.
(v) one Leica DMIRE2 inverted microscope equipped with Coolsnap K4 CCD, Metamorph Premiere control software and stage incubator for live cell imaging.
