This ICGEB & The Future of Science Symposium aims to build capacity in the bioinformatics field, increase bioinformatics research awareness and to create networks within the scientific community for advancing bioinformatics research and application. To this end, the programme shall include key note speeches, lectures, discussions and presentations of abstracts/ posters.
Under the current COVID-19 emergency, the meeting will include the possibility for participants to attend virtually.
Topics
Design and implementation of a sequence retrieval of bacterial gene, TAGOPSIN – organism centred data retrieval and integration software, Bioinformatics in drug discovery Chemogenomics – facilitating drug discovery and development, Metagonomics, Pharmacogenomics, Proteomics, Phylogenetics.
Participants
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, Researchers, Media and Parliamentarians.
Registration fees will apply based on professional status.
Funding
Participants will cater for their travel and living costs. Limited funding covering accommodation, travel and meals will be available for presenters who are nationals of ICGEB Member States. Limited funding will be availed to invited expert presenters. Local junior students will have a subsided registration fee.
