The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged. The Workshop will highlight on viruses and their interaction with host RNAi machinery. Emphasis will also be given to viral suppressers of RNAi and the mechanism involved. Classes of small RNAs and long non coding RNAs, as well as delivery systems currently employed along with application of the siRNAs will be discussed.

Participants
Leading researchers in the area of RNAi and viruses. Young scientists and students in the field of viruses and/or RNAi. Admittance to the Workshop is subject to selection by the organising committee and payment of a registration fee (INR 4,000 for National participants, Euro 150 for International participants). Registration fee will cover only course material, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and subsistence costs. Applicants are expected to have a strong CV and inclination to learn about viruses and RNAi.
Funding

A limited number of grants covering local costs (accommodation twin-shared and meals as scheduled in the programme) will be available for a selected number of nationals of ICGEB Member States. Recipients of an ICGEB grant will be automatically waived of the registration fees.
