The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged. The workshop will provide a platform to bring together global leaders working in the field of plant stress biology for deliberations on strategies for generating climate resilient crops. It will also be a unique opportunity for early-career scientists and graduate students to interact with international experts in the field, share their research and exchange ideas.
Topics
Climate change and food security, plant response under abiotic and biotic stresses, cross talk in signal circuitries, climate resilient crops: success stories from translational research.
Participants
Admittance to the Workshop is subject to selection by the organising committee and payment of a registration fee. The registration fee includes costs for course material and meals. Preference will be given to early-career scientists and graduate students working in the area of plant biology. For foreign nationals, a registration fee of Euro 50 may be charged which will be waived off for participants from the ICGEB Member States (excluding accommodation). For non-ICGEB Indian nationals, a registration fee of Rs 4000 may be charged (excluding accommodation). Applications may be accompanied by a 300 words abstract with key findings preferably related to the title of the conference.
Funding
A limited number of grants covering accommodation (twin shared) for the duration of the course will be available for a selected number of registered participants from ICGEB Member States.
