This hands-on school focuses on Quantitative Biology. Participants attend theoretical lectures andengage in experimental projects. The school covers a broad range of biology topics, from geneticsto physiology and ecology, attracting participants from different disciplines. Its goal is to fosterinterdisciplinary collaborations by exposing biology students to the power of mathematics andphysics in making quantitative predictions, and students with a background in physics and appliedmath to quantitative experiments in biological systems. The school, with a hands-on format,involves students divided into groups. They are introduced to a specific biological problem, formalized and analyzed using mathematical theory.

Gene Regulatory Networks and Synthetic Biology; Population Dynamics, Evolution, and Ecology; Collective Behavior and Active Matter in Biological Systems; Biomechanics and Cell Mechanics.
Participants
Mainly PhD students, possibly a few Master students.
Funding
ICGEB will support the participation of a few students who are ICGEB Member States nationals. ICGEB-supported participants will be provided with accommodation and meals at UM6P and some consumables cost for the practical laboratory work.
