This scientific workshop will introduce the young students and scientists to some of the most exciting
research and developments in the area of synthetic biology of photosynthetic organisms to produce
value added products using genome engineering with CRISPR-Cas9, RNAi-post-transcriptional gene
silencing and building metabolic pathways through specialized talks and hand-on-training sessions.
Attendance is limited to 30 participants. 15 seats are reserved to Indian participants. 15 seats will be available for ICGEB Member State nationals residing outside of India. The participants are expected to stay close to ICGEB New Delhi campus for the duration of the workshop.
Food and lodging costs for selected participants will be covered. Graduates in advanced biotechnological fields of Algae, Plants or Biological sciences are encouraged to apply from India and Developing Countries. Interested applicants should provide with the application a one-page current CV along with a paragraph of statement of interest.
