The workshop FEBS ICGEB “Proteolysis: at the interface between health and disease” aims at addressing current issues, progress, and expansion taking place in the  field  of  proteases, protein inhibitors and their mechanisms of control under physiological and pathological conditions.

Topics

Proteases, Protease inhibitors, Regulation and proteolytic control with emphasis on their role in diseases, as well as on novel therapeutic approaches, and in vivo imaging and diagnostic strategies, which tackle protease activities.

Participants

PhD students, Early-career scientists, Postdocs as well as Group Leaders, PIs and Professors are warmly welcome. Abstracts from early career researchers will be selected for short oral presentations (10 min) or will be allowed to present their research at dedicated poster flash talk session (3 min). All applicants will be invited to actively participate in the tutoring sessions and the round table discussion.

Funding

The registration fee will cover all meals (including Get-Together and Gala Dinner); accommodations (double occupancy rooms will be provided as a standard housing for the participants). A limited number of grants, covering the registration fee will be available for a selected number of young scientists from ICGEB Member States.
