President of the Italian FVG Region visits the ICGEB

Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, visited the ICGEB Headquarters and labs on 22 January 2020, meeting with Director-General Lawrence Banks, members of the Management and researchers.

The visit by the President provided a unique opportunity to highlight the international relations and instruments of action of the ICGEB, in terms of basic research, education and technology transfer, and was an occasion to visit the laboratories and interract with our researchers directly.

Highlighting the extraordinary added value of the ICGEB in terms of basic research, its international social value and its ability to enhance Regional networks, President Fedriga stated that “the ICGEB is testimony to the international dimension of the Region in the field of scientific research: a Centre capable of offering an important opportunity for development to local companies.”
