Postdoctoral position Molecular Medicine

A 3-year position for a talented and ambitious postdoc for a project aimed to generate iPS cells from patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, and to study the cellular, molecular and structural effect of the investigated mutations.

The position is funded through a collaborative programme between the Molecular Medicine Laboratory of ICGEB (Prof. Mauro Giacca) and the SC Cardiologia of ASUGI-University of Trieste (Prof. Gianfranco Sinagra). The postholder will be part of a multi-disciplinary research team of clinical and experimental investigators, who have over 20 years-experience in the field of molecular studies in cardiology.

Skill, knowledge and experience PhD or equivalent degree in Medicine, Biophysics, Biological Science or other related fields. Previous research experience in molecular and cellular biology. Experience in the generation of iPS cells, electrophysiology, work in animal models of cardiac disease an asset.
