This meeting aims to gather experts in the field of infectious diseases affecting resource-limited tropical regions for a broad discussion of state-of-the-art and the solutions for improved vaccines and therapeutics.
Topics
Pathogenic viruses, bacteria and protozoa. Host-pathogen interactions. Emerging concepts in vaccines and therapeutics. Animal reservoirs and vectors.
Participants
Researchers involved in the topics of the meeting, infectious diseases with interests in basic research, vaccine development, epidemiology, diagnostics, therapy, vector control. Short talks and posters from participants. Students and junior scientists are welcome to attend.
Funding
Participants are expected to cover their own travel and living costs. A limited number of grants, covering accommodation and local hospitality of the duration of the meeting, are available to a selected number of nationals of ICGEB Member States. Limited travel contribution will additionally be available from the local organisers and external sponsors for selected students/junior scientists.
