This Symposium is hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy, UKM; this biennial, 2-day event addresses global challenges in non-communicable diseases, focusing explicitly on Cardiovascular Disorders. The hybrid event expects 150 participants, including 10 sponsored young scientists from ICGEB member states.
To maximize institutional visibility, Day 1 is entirely dedicated to the ICGEB Symposium. The day opens with a Keynote Lecture by Prof. Dr. Serena Zacchigna (ICGEB Trieste), followed by Plenary Lecture 1. It features three parallel scientific tracks: Molecular Cardiology and Regenerative Medicine, Cardiovascular Risk and Genomic Medicine, and Vascular Biotechnology and Inflammation. Presentations are structurally allocated into 10-minute slots for Early/Mid-Career Investigators and postgraduate students, culminating in a 3-minute Rapid Fire Presentation session. Midday activities feature moderated poster evaluations and industry talks. The afternoon concludes with a comprehensive 2-hour Collaborative Research Programme (CRP) Grant Workshop, led by the Malaysian ICGEB Appointed Governor, MOSTI, or an ICGEB expert, focusing on writing successful international grant proposals.
Day 2 hosts the 2nd INCHAP Symposium, expanding to include interdisciplinary themes such as Ageing, Community Health, Rehabilitation, Toxicology, Diagnostic Sciences, and Pharmacy. It features Keynote 2, Plenary 2, parallel oral sessions, and ends with an award ceremony recognising outstanding presentations.

Participants
Postgraduate students, early-career researchers, academic staff, or professionals in health sciences, biotechnology, or related fields. A fee of RM500 applies for non-grantees.
Funding
A limited number of grants covering the accommodation and fees are available for students of ICGEB Member States nationality.
