The project led by the ICGEB Cardiovascular Biology laboratory in Trieste Group Leader Serena Zacchinga comprises an interregional research consortium that brings together institutes from Italy and Austria: EURAC Research in Bozen, Italy, the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, and the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences CUAS in Klagenfurt, Austria. Associated partners comprise the Cardiology Hospital of Bozen, the Medical Sciences, Surgery and Health division of the University of Trieste, and the Cardiology Department of the Hospital of Merano. These institutions have joined under the INCardio project to create a virtual centre for excellence, combining multidisciplinary expertise.
