In October 2019, Lawrence Banks, ICGEB Director-General and Vittorio Venturi, Scientific Coordinator, were in Amman, Jordan to hold an Awareness Workshop and cement ties with the University of Jordan.
Held in collaboration with ICGEB’s Appointed Governor Dr. Belal Azab, from the University of Jordan, School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine, Amman, the workshop provided an opportunity for the larger scientific community to learn directly about ICGEB’s programmes and possibilities for funding.
On the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the University of Jordan.
Dr. Noor Gammoh, Chancellor’s Fellow, Cancer Research UK, The University of Edinburgh, UK and ICGEB alumna from the Banks’ lab also presented at the Workshop.
