ICGEB at the 2020 Bio Africa Convention from 24-26 August. This year, the convention was a televised event, with the theme “Discover, Develop, Disseminate”.
A varied and topical agenda discusses Health Biotech, COVID-19, Agribiotech, Finance and Investment, Zoonotics, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Natural Products, Medicinal Cannabis, Environmental biotech, Food safety and Food security, as well as Women’s health.
A televised high-level plenary of keynote speakers including ICGEB Director-General Dr. Lawrence Banks and South African Clinical Infectious Diseases Epidemiologist Prof. Salim Abdool Karim set the scene for the first day of #BioAfrica2020 with insights on Health Biotechnology.
This years Convention also sees the launch of ICGEB Science & the City South Africa, via the media event.
