The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged. For more information on the terms of participation and funding opportunities for this event please access the meeting website or contact the local organisers directly.
This training course will cover critical aspects of engineering proteins through glycosylation , expressing bioactive glycoproteins in mammalian cells and the analysis of their glycosylation. Also it will contribute to review glycoanalytical issues for quality and process control of glyco-biopharmaceutics and the analysis of regulatory requirements for their developing and commercialization.
Topics
Glycobiology, engineering by hyperglycosylation, protein expression, glycomics, glycosylations analysis (HPAEC-PAD, mass spectrometry, spectroscopic studies, chromatography), immunogenicity, biotherapeutics, quality control of biopharmaceutics, in vivo and in vitro biological activity analysis, comparability and similarity studies: regulatory requirements to develop and commercialize biotherapeutic.
Participants
Post-Docs, PhD, Master students, and scientists working in the field glycoproteins as biopharmaceutics are welcome. Preference will be given to students and junior scientists. Participants will be selected based in their professional interests and personal qualifications. CVs, scientific merits and letters of recommendation from hierarchy will be analysed.
Funding
A limited number of grants covering accommodation, local hospitality and partial travel cost are available for a selected number of nationals of ICGEB Member States. The available grants will be allocated in order of priority, according to the ranking achieved in the selection process.
