The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged. This course aims to train young scientists and post-graduate students on state of-the-art proteomics technologies with special focus on bioinformatics analysis of large datasets. It also intends to promote the applications for these technologies in each participant’s research activity.
Topics
Shotgun proteomics, top down proteomics, bioinformatics analysis of proteomics datasets, interactomics, venomics.
Participants
Students and junior scientists that aim to use proteomics in their research activity. A poster session will be organized.
Funding
Participants are expected to cover their own travel costs, even though limited travel contribution will be available for selected students. Students subsistence costs will be covered (accommodation, per diem contribution, daily transfers and lunches).
