The discovery that bacteria communicate have brought the concept of bacterial multicellularity and bacterial social behavior to the forefront of microbiology. In addition, microbiome studies have recently evidenced the complexity of microbial communities raising the question of the pertinent role of contact independent cell-cell signaling in bacteria in the formation and maintenance of microbiome in nature.
This recurring conference on cell-cell communication in bacteria will bring together leading scientists and early career researchers to present and discuss new insights and what are the future trends in this important research field which will a major impact on both fundamental and translational science.

* Participants eligible for “Reduced fee” are PhD Students and they must provide proof of qualifying Student status. The mandatory Proof of qualifying student status is a document provided by your University/Affiliated Institute on headed paper, dated, and stamped or signed. Please note that you must be enrolled at the date of the Conference to be eligible for the reduced fee.
Please be informed that if the document is missing, your payment and your participation to the course will NOT be confirmed.
Registration fee includes attendance at the meeting, e-book of abstracts and meals as foreseen in the meeting programme.
Cancellations must be notified to the Organising Secretariat in writing no later than 6 October 2025 (midday Trieste time) and will be subject to a handling fee of Euro 50. After this date refunds cannot be guaranteed.

Financial Assistance
PhDs and PostDocs who are nationals of ICGEB Member States are eligible to apply for an ICGEB grant covering registration fee, accommodation for the duration of the Meeting and meals as per programme; travel is not funded.
When applying, you will be asked to upload a Biosketch; please note that also the Abstract submission for Oral or Poster presentation (max 300 words) is compulsory to be considered for financial support.

You must REGISTER for the meeting BEFORE you submit your abstract.
