Trieste, Italy: European City of Science, will host the EuroScience Open Forum, originally scheduled from 4 to 10 July, 2020, the event is now due to take place between 2-6 September 2020. The biennial pan-European meeting is dedicated to research and innovation – and the discovery of future directions in science.
Trieste, Italy: European City of Science 2020, will host the EuroScience Open Forum. Founded in 2004, the biennial pan-European meeting is dedicated to research and innovation and the discovery of future directions in the sciences, humanities and the social sciences.

Trieste has seen the development of important international and national research institutes for research, technology transfer and the dissemination of science, bringing to its shore a concentration of researchers among the highest in the world.
As a Central European city, Trieste will also work to make ESOF2020 an opportunity for strengthening links with Central and Eastern European scientists, businesses, politicians and citizens.
The Science and Innovation System of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia (SIS FVG) that connects the scientific institutions of the region is collaborating with FIT to build up the scientific programme of the 2020 event and will involve Trieste’s leading scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators, policymakers, science and technology communicators and, naturally, the general public.
