The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged.

The Latin American C. elegans meeting aims to promote C. elegans research throughout Latin America and present our work to scientists from the world. The 2023 Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Piali Sengupta from Brandeis University. The program consists of non-thematic research sessions to promote the diversification of discussions throughout the conference. The program will include mentoring lunches, workshops, poster sessions, and a flash-talk competition.

Neurodegeneration, Aging, Transgenerational inheritance, Small RNAs, Epigenetics, Development biology, CRISPR, Systems biology, Germline maintenance and meiosis, Neuro and innate immunity, Ecology and evolution, Cell biology, Systems toxicology, Omics.
Participants
Researchers working on any topic of C. elegans biology are welcome to participate. Early career scientists as well as students and postdocs are highly encouraged to apply.
Funding
The meeting will offer a number of grants in the form of a registration waiver for graduate students and postdocs for nationals of ICGEB Member States residing outside of Chile. Applicants need to upload an intention letter justifying the need for funds when submitting the application form.
