The Biosafety Bibliographic Database is an open access searchable collection of scientific studies (full reference + abstract) on biosafety and risk assessment in biotechnology published since 1990. It is updated monthly and the new records are immediately distributed by e-mail to freely subscribed users. Full versions of each article may be obtained via the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or by contacting the corresponding author directly (Email addresses are provided when available). All articles are screened and classified by scientists in the ICGEB Biosafety Unit to ensure that each record will contribute to the various scientific debates arising from the commercial release of GMOs. The database is also interoperable with the central portal of the Biosafety Clearing House (BCH), hosted by the Convention on Biological Diversity.
