The ICGEB aims at strengthening the research capability of its Members through a comprehensive training programme and approach to promoting biotechnology internationally. The active participation of ICGEB Member States nationals in the ICGEB Meetings and Courses is therefore highly encouraged.

The ICGEB Workshop on Human RNA Viruses is organized every two years by Alesssandro Marcello, Group Leader, Molecular Virology and Oscar Burrone, Group Leader, Molecular Immunology, ICGEB Trieste. In 2012, the Workshop was co-organized with Andrea Gamarnik at the Insitute Leloir in Buenos Aires - see the ICGEB web page dedicated to the event.
After Trieste, New Delhi and Buenos Aires, in 2014 the Workshop will be held in Istanbul and will be jointly sponsored by ICGEB and EMBO:
available for participants from least developed countries and ICGEB Member States to waive the registration fee. A limited number of grants will also be available to cover twin-share accommodation and/or contribute to economy travel costs. Eligibile applicants must REGISTER (holding payment) and SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT by 28th April 2014, and send a MOTIVATED REQUEST BY E-MAIL to attaching a CV.
Participants applying for financial support will be awarded the available grants based on: the scientific content of the abstract; scientific relevance of the conference to the participant's own work; work performed in developing countries; date of application.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their request by 30th May 2014.
All registered participants are requested to submit an abstract for poster presentation by 1st August 2014. The most relevant ones will also be considered for oral presentation, and the selected authors informed by 1st September 2014.
