About the workshop

Viruses continue to evolve and emerge and most viral diseases that pose epidemic threats are RNA viruses, including the recent Zika virus outbreak. This ICGEB Workshop is dedicated to bridging the gap between recent advances in molecular and cellular biology of human RNA viruses and the needs of those most affected by these diseases. It was launched in 2008 and is held every two years in ICGEB Member Countries to attract participants locally http://www.icgeb.org/news_English/items/icgeb-workshop-of-human-rna-viruses-3-5-april-buenos-aires-argentina.html. The format provides an overview of several aspects concerning the biology of RNA viruses through state-of-the-art lectures from invited speakers, selected talks from participants and posters in an informal international environment.
