Objectives:

  • Provide hands-on training to young scientists and faculty members on basic techniques of biotechnology
  • Enhance theoretical knowledge on recent advancements in different areas of biotechnology
  • Provide opportunities of interaction to young scientists from different universities and research institutes

This programme aims at providing young scientists with theoretical and hands-on training on the basic tools of biotechnology to enhance capacity building in this area of research. Plenary sessions will alternate with practical training, see the Preliminary Plan.
The Course will be held at different scientific institutions in Pakistan - contact the local organisers for further details on the individual schedule and programme contents.

The National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) was established in 2009 and since then had been working on a number of programs aimed at capacity enhancement of young scientists, among which Science for Youth, Community Education and Awareness, Public Health Services, Science and Society.
NAYS actively collaborates with Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) on the organisation workshops on “Young Researchers Skill Development” at different venues in Pakistan. Other collaborations for the organisation of training events include the Emerging Nations Science Foundation, Italy; the International Society for Study of Pain, Canada ; the American Society of Microbiology; the American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS); and national universities and organizations like Technology Times, Tech TV, Pakistan Council for Science and Technology.
