On 23 January 2012, H.E. Naledi Pandor, Minister of Science and Technology, Republic of South Africa visits ICGEB Trieste
The expression of the continuing support by the South African Government to ICGEB was trasmitted directly by H.E. Minister Naledi Pandor, during her official visit to ICGEB on Monday, 23 January 2012. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the laboratories and convivial moments with ICGEB students from the African Continent at the Trieste Component.
The South African Component of ICGEB was established in 2007, thanks to the generous contribution from the Government of South Africa, through the Department of Science and Technology, and the voluntary contribution from the Government of Italy, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit by Minister Pandor was undertaken in the context of a series of meetings in Italy to promote bilateral relations.
