Meetings and Courses

The ICGEB Meetings and Courses Programme funds, organises and promotes participation in scientific meetings, workshops and theoretical and practical courses in the Life Sciences in ICGEB Member States.


  • Nationals of ICGEB Member States are eligible to apply for a limited number of grants to support registration fee and/or living costs during the meeting
  • International travel is not usually funded. Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain additional sources of support to cover their travel expenses
  • Refer to the annual ICGEB Meetings and Courses calendar for information, terms of participation, application forms and contact details for individual events


  • Laboratories or Institutes are invited to submit proposals for organising an ICGEB event or receive sponsorship towards a scientific meeting organised in an ICGEB Member State on a topic of relevance to the ICGEB mandate
  • All ICGEB sponsored activities require official endorsement by the ICGEB Liaison Officer of the Member State wherein the specific event will take place. Applications are submitted by the ICGEB to the relevant Liaison Officer, and will not be considered for review unless endorsement is received
