Financial assistance

 

A limited number of grants will be available for nationals of ICGEB Member States to waive the registration fee and cover twin-share accommodation.

Interested, eligible applicants must APPLY online at http://www.icgeb.org/course-application-trieste-bioinformatics-2018.html and additionally upload a MOTIVATION STATEMENT by 22nd January 2018 (Trieste time).

Requests for financial support without the necessary motivation statement will not be considered.

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific relevance of the course to the participants own work

  • Potential benefit to students and junior scientists in the early stages of their career

  • Work performed in developing countries

  • Date of application

  • Adequate geographical and gender balance

  • Preference will be given to Ph.D. students and junior scientists below the age of 35 years

Unsuccessful applicants will be given priority of access should they be interested to attend through regular registration and payment of the fee, compatibly with the overall seats availability.

Participants will need to have their own laptop with an internet browser installed to access the course Google Cloud infrastructure and remote high speed computing facility for sessions and practical exercises - technical requirements will be available soon
