Financial assistance


A limited number of grants will be available for nationals of ICGEB Member States to waive the complete Course registration fee, cover twin-share accommodation and local hospitality for the duration of the Course.

Interested, eligible applicants must REGISTER online and additionally upload a MOTIVATION STATEMENT by 5th June 2018 (Trieste time).
Requests for financial support without the necessary motivation statement will not be considered.

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • PhD and postdoctoral students currently involved in R&D activities or studies related to plant microbiome and/or related applications
  • A limited number of participants (20) are admitted to this Course to allow comfortable access to the instruments. Other 20 participants will be selected to attend only the Theoretical Sessions held in the mornings
  • Selection will be based on applicants' CV and potential benefit for their career. Geographical and gender balance  will also be considered
