Objectives

This school will support the establishment of innovative collaborative research training that may directly benefit highly skilled and educated students:

  • Improve engagement of researchers and students in Bioinformatics and computational neuroscience

  • Raise the standard for best practices in computational research and development of professional skills

  • Encourage new research and training opportunities

  • Strengthen existing collaborations for long-term planning

  • Promote events with academics and researchers in the relevant field to discuss career pathways and career development issues

 

Expected benefits/outcome

  • Prior knowledge of scientific theories and approaches, together with proficiency in computational techniques is an asset

  • Interactive sessions will offer opportunities to be exposed to both innovative and well-established computational techniques in Bioinformatics and computational neuroscience research

  • Establishment of collaborations with other investigators will be encouraged

 

Funding

  • No fee is charged to attend this course. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and living costs.

  • A limited number of grants, covering accommodation (twin share) and local hospitality for the duration of the course, are available to a selected number of nationals of ICGEB Member States.
    The available grants will be allocated in order of priority, according to the ranking achieved in the selection process.
