Objectives

  • Present the current situation of microbial inoculants and future perspectives, with a special focus on Latin America

  • Inform the audience about the principles of production, formulation and use of microbial inoculants

  • Discuss the inoculants based on Azospirillum and Bradyrhizobium and their use in soybean crop

  • Overview the potential of Azospirillum brasiliense as a plant growth promoter

 

Expected benefits/outcome

  • Interaction and networking among scientists, researchers and managers involved in research, development, production and use of microbial inoculants coming from the private and public sectors

  • Establish collaborations and explore the potential for the development of products

 

Funding

  • No fee is charged to attend this Course. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and living costs.

  • A limited number of grants, covering accommodation (twin share) and local hospitality for the duration of the Course, are available to a selected number of nationals of ICGEB Member States.
    The available grants will be allocated in order of priority, according to the ranking achieved in the selection process.
